My Life Since Senn ...: After college I worked as an accountant. I married Nancy Santo (from our class) and had 4 children. I purchased one of my client's companies, Aargus Plastics, a plastic bag manufacturing company and built it into one of the top 100 companies in the plastics field. Nancy & I divorced after 19 years and we still remain friends to this day. I remarried, Sherry, and adopted her 2 children and have been married the 2nd time for 27 years. Two of my children work in the business with me. We live on 5-1/2 acres with 4 dogs and 5 horses. |

My Life Since Senn ...: Went to college in DC (GWU) and came back to Chicago for grad school (U of C). Married Linda (DeKoven) in '67 and spent two years in London where I worked on my dissertation and Linda worked as a fashion designer. Returned to the US and took a position in the Poli Sci Department at the U of Nebraska in Lincoln; I also did time there as an associate dean. We were in Lincoln for 31 years and then moved to join the UMass system where I was a dean and associate provost. We left Mass after five years so I could take a provost position in NYC. We moved to DC recently to be near our son, Jon, his wife Aparna, and their little girl Eva. We live on Capitol Hill and like it a lot. We hope to see our old friends when they visit DC. Give me a call or send me an email to let me know you're on your way. |

Your Favorite Piece Of Wisdom: exercise 3-4 x per week and you have a chance of keeping your brain and body | |
My Life Since Senn ...: I left Chicago in 1968 after med school, planning to go west, but wound up in New Jersey (of all places) after training in New York. Still married (39 years) and have 3 kids and 4 grandchildren. I'm still working which seems to maintain stability in life. Strangely, I still think of Senn friends (Ungerleider, Pete Kaplan, Artie Rubin, Marty Behr, etc.) and wonder if I missed a singing career by not pursuing our group (The Spokesmen- still have the record we made). Will never forget words to West side story, football coach(Loverde), Basketball coach (Leighton) even though I never played for them. |

Comment:
What fun taking the test - got 2 out of 3 correct. The memories of Devon Avenue, Randals, Kofields and Peter Pan - Carol Core, Manzelmans and Crawford Department Store and going into the record store and listening to the 45's and 78's. Hanging out and cruising Devon Av with no cell phones, no I-pods and no video games - How did we survive? And who could ever forget, Mr Fricker "raiding" Harry's during school hours? |

My Life Since Senn ...: Life has been good. Divorced in 1983, remarried in 1995. My husband and I have 6 children between us, 6 spouses and awaiting our 10th grandchild. Earned a doctorate in psychology which was (and is) useful in my work. Spent 17 years at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center and am currently working at New Trier High School as a school psychologist. Am having a great time being back in "high school." |

My Life Since Senn ...:
MBA Accounting, National Guard, Zenith Radio, Honeywell, Self Employed. Married the right girl from Steinmetz High and have 3 daughters, all blue eyed blondes. The family including 4 grandkids live in Austin, Texas. The 3 daughters have all worked at Dell and met their husbands there. My wife Jan and I attend a great Church, which is a priority in our lives. We enjoy politics and try to attend events from Hillsdale College and the Heritage Foundation. Socializing with friends and family, fishing now and then in the Gulf, attending Church, exercising, and trying to stay in shape takes most of our time. I also play ping-pong several times per week at the Austin club which is great fun and exercise. I look forward to attending my first reunion after 50 years. Maybe I will recognize someone or they will remember me. *I hope the graduates of Hayt Elementary will get together Saturday night. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
U. of I, Roosevelt, North Park, U. of Arkansas, Fordham U...for starters. I am currently a Realtor in Chicago and also do Performing Arts management/Producing and am working on a pop-up-book. Still married but separated from Daisy Bachalet-Stover of Paris. We owned a boutique in SoHo, NYC that specialized in party clothes for rock groupies. (Jerry Hall was a good customer) I was also involved with the Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey and Twyla Tharpe. I have been immortalized in celluloid with my sensitive portrayal of the lead zombie in George Romero's 1978 film, "Dawn of the Dead". I have forgotten more than I remember and continue to do so as I wait for the Cubs to win the World Series. I look forward to seeing everyone. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
After high school went to Western Illinois for a year then transferred to U of I. Spent a year at U of I, moved back to Chicago and went to Roosevelt University and worked part-time at the First National Bank of Chicago. Was drafted in the army and went to Vietnam (LBJ's Army), spent 13 months there. Came home (Chicago) 1968 in one piece and no mental problems. Went back to Roosevelt and First National Bank, where I met my wife, Linda. Our son, John, was born a year later. We moved to Libertyville. Our daughter was born in 1972. They are both married and my son lives in Libertyville with his wife Becky and two children, Jackson (6) and Anna (4). My daughter lives in Statesville, North Carolina, 30 miles north of Charlotte. She has three children, twins Jake and Emma (8) and daughter Charlie, born 7-8-09. We are blessed with everyone being healthy, and my wife and I spend a lot of time in North Carolina. I still follow the Cubs; love to play golf and work in my yard. LIFE IS GOOD! |

My Life Since Senn ...:
Graduated from Washington U. in St. Louis in 1963, then did 2 years of graduate work in developmental biology before deciding I didn't like it. Then got certified in medical technology at Northwestern, and moved to Hollywood, where I worked in the micro lab at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital for 3 years. Married my husband Mel in 1970, moved to Berkeley where our daughter Jen was born in 1972. Moved back to L.A. for a year, and then to Iowa City, Iowa, home of the Hawkeyes, temporarily for a year in 1973. We have been here ever since. Our daughter Ellen was born in 1976. I began volunteering at the Iowa City Public Library in 1981, and became a full time audiovisual cataloger in 1986. I will retire in the fall. My husband did research in microbial genetics until he retired - he is now a professional volunteer. Our daughters live in Minneapolis - Jen is a special ed. teacher in middle school and Ellen is an academic adviser at the University of Minnesota. She's getting married in October to a young man she met in Edinburgh, UK. I'm looking forward to seeing friendly faces from the past at our reunion. |
