My Life Since Senn ...: I was married in 1965 and had 2 beautiful children, Lee and Randi. My Marriage ended in divorce in 1978. I moved to South Florida in 1985. I lost my son Lee in a car accident in 1985, shortly after moving to Florida. I remarried a wonderful man in 1989. We lived in Highland Beach, Florida for 14 years and moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 2002 where we presently reside. Sam has 2 children - Alan and Sharon.

I have enjoyed a successful career as a vocalist, primarily on the condo-country club circuit in South Florida and performed elsewhere around the country. I was designated a Cabaret Music Fellow of the Eugene O'Neill Theater (New York). Between Sam and I, we have 4 beautiful grandchildren, Jaimee, Henry, Lea, and Luke. We have a very handsome cat named Sunny!

We enjoy traveling the world on cruise ships.

From Bev:

I look forward to reuniting with my high school friends. I want to thank the Senn Reunion Committee for putting together this reunion and the wonderful website.

My Life Since Senn ...: It hardly seems possible that it's been 50 years since we attended Senn High School. There have been so many milestones in life since those teenage years, but I offer a brief summary.

Following Senn, took classes at Chicago junior colleges and completed 4 years at Washburne, leading to a career in construction. For employment, I joined a sheet metal construction firm that was headquartered in Skokie and remained with that firm for 25 years.

Married with three children, a daughter and twin boys. Kids are all grown now and spread out, living in places like Wisconsin, Minnesota and California, also have three grandchildren, with one at each location. Oops, that first marriage didn't last.

Without ties to Chicago I started traveling for my employer. Met my second wife while working in the Cleveland area, and she has kept me around for 25 years. With this marriage I also gained a stepdaughter, but she is also at a long distance, living in Seattle. My wife worked for a major auto manufacturer that relocated her to central Florida. I tried commuting on weekends between Chicago and Orlando for 2-1/2 years, but it just took too long to get home on Friday night. In 1990, I moved to central Florida and found employment with a major facility here in Orlando that just keeps expanding.

Health is good. I still take occasional classes at Seminole State College, but just the fun stuff. Enjoy running in 5K races and biking. I have been thinking about retiring, but I have been just too busy to set a date for retirement.

Your Favorite Piece Of Wisdom: It is what it is - accept gracefully.
My Life Since Senn ...: Worked for 9 years at Standard Oil on Canal St. Assistant Manager for Special Billing section. Married Len in June 1966. He was the best husband in the world. We have 2 children - my wonderful son and my gorgeous daughter. Len and I were married 41 years. I finally have a grandson - he is the cutest, smartest, most adorable little boy. Jimmy just turned 1 year old and is the spitting image of my daughter and late husband. In my later years I worked at Littelfuse Inc for 19 years. I started as customer service and the last 2 years ran the sample and literature department.

I was terribly skinny all through my school years but, as you can see - I filled out. My hobbies include jigsaw puzzles, mah jong, bingo and hand and foot. Live in a senior community and am active and busy.

My Life Since Senn ...: My husband Ken Solovy and I met at the U of I and married shortly after my graduation from Northwestern (BA Biology). I worked as an Assistant Biologist at IITRI testing drugs in a primary drug screen for anti-malarial activity. After Ken finished grad school, we moved to Vestal, NY (a small city about 75 miles south of Syracuse) where our children were born. I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom. When the kids went to school, I took a programming class at SUNY Binghamton. In 1980 we moved cross-country and have since lived in beautiful Thousand Oaks, CA. I was accepted into a training program and became a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, and have worked at a number of companies in that capacity. Now I am mostly retired. My husband changed careers from Photographic Scientist to High School Chemistry teacher and is now retired. Our son Rob is a computer programmer in LA. Our daughter JoAnne teaches 1st grade; she and her hubby Adya live nearby. Our delightful and precocious granddaughter, Emma, whom we cherish and spoil, will be 3 in May. She will become a big sister in September. For fun I enjoy mah jongg and sudoko, and mostly getting together with family and friends.

Your Favorite Piece Of Wisdom: Every day is a gift!
My Life Since Senn ...: I became an elementary school teacher---got married to Neal, the love of my life, two days after I graduated college. We have been married for 45 wonderful years (46 by the time of the reunion). I taught school for a year and then my eldest was born. I became a full-time mom and I worked in Neal's office when needed. I was involved with Brandeis and was on the Women's Board of Neal's hospital for several years; and was Ball Chair one year for the annual fund-raising gala. After my children were grown and out of the house, several of my friends went to work in retail. I worked for Neiman Marcus for nine years. Tennis, Mah Jongg and golf have been my hobbies over the years; however, my favorite hobby is now Bridge. Neal and I love to travel (we went to Europe on our honeymoon in '64) and we have travelled all over the world (Antartica in January of '09 enabled us to say, "all seven continents")! I am extremely devoted to my kids, their spouses and my three grandchildren. I feel very fortunate to have an incredible family and amazing friends.

My Life Since Senn ...: I graduated Penn State with a degree in journalism in 1964 and had a five year career at the Anti-Defamation League in New York as a researcher. I married my husband after his first year of medical school in 1966 and happily retired from the ADL as I awaited the birth of our first daughter Amy in 1969. I haven't worked a day for pay since! If I could draw a salary for reading, I'd be quite rich! Our second daughter Dara was born in 1976. Both girls graduated from Indiana University. Amy is a public policy consultant with her own company in Austin, TX, and Dara is an attorney in New Jersey. Our daughters are both happily married and Amy has a little girl Alysa who is six. We have two homes: a condo in Austin and an apartment in New Jersey. In my abundant spare time, I love to play duplicate bridge and cook.. when I'm not reading or blogging. It continues to be a wonderful life.
