My Life Since Senn ...:
I met three life long friends in High School and Grammar School: Myra Bleiweiss Pompiqn, Susan Pritikin Holleran and Laurel Kay Shefsky of Blessed Memory. Each of them has enriched my life. After graduating from Senn I spent one year at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and then three years at Roosevelt University. I taught first grade at Stockton School for four years. In 1960 I met Sy Nagorsky, a 1958 graduate of Sullivan High School. We were married in 1964. He is a retired partner in a C.P.A. firm. We are celebrating our 46th Anniversary in June. We have two children. Our son, Brian Robert, born in 1969, works in Real Estate Development and is married to Marsha, an attorney working at the University of Chicago Law School. Our daughter, Mindy Ellen, born in 1972 an attorney, is married to Ronen Israel. a principal in a Hedge Fund. We have four wonderful grandchildren: five year old Richard Joshua, "Rafi", almost three year old Samuel Avichai Nagorsky, five year old Madeline Yehudit and three year old Ariel David Israel - another baby is on the way. In 1968 Sy and I made a life changing trip to Israel after which I became involved in the North Boundary group of Hadassah. I was president of the Chicago Chapter of Hadassah from 1992-1995 and currently serve on the National Board of Hadassah. I am also on the board of the American Zionist Movement, Chicago Region, Women's Division State of Israel Bonds and involved in other organizations. I spend my free time traveling especially to New York where our daughter and her family live, playing Maj Jongg, babysitting, volunteering and just enjoying life. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
Shortly after leaving Senn, Peter and I were married and began our life together. I continued with college and after earning my degree, became an inner city school teacher. From 1970 to 1980 we were blessed with our four children and I became a full time, stay at home Mom. I loved every minute of it. In 1987 I returned to teaching until we left Chicago in 1992. I was a south suburban substitute teacher for awhile and enjoyed filling in for our oldest daughter's classroom. Also in the 90's, I began traveling overseas with Peter and we saw much of the world together without ever taking a cruise. In 2004 my daughter, Kristin, and I outgrew our home based, custom children's gift basket business. So we opened a high end children's boutique that now extends from the south suburbs to southwest Florida. Now that Peter is retired, we are having more fun than ever. We spend most of our time in southwest Florida where I remain active in my business and enjoy all the outdoor activities the area offers. Way back at Senn Peter promised that as long as we were together, no matter what else happened, I would never be bored. He kept his promise. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
After I left Senn I married Faith, my Senn classmate and the love of my life. Continuing into the 60's, I served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. When I returned from the Army, I became a principal in a start up manufacturing company. During the 70's I was a Chicago Police Sergeant and spent most of my time on Chicago's turbulent west side. In my spare time, I earned my degree at Roosevelt University, thanks to the G.I. Bill. When I left the police I returned to my business. As the business grew, I made a couple of acquisitions and opened our distribution center in Europe. In the 90's Faith joined me on some of my overseas trips and, of course, she charmed all who met her. In 2008 I retired. Now I help Faith with her business interests. We also find time to enjoy boating, cycling and some golf. Naturally we spoil our grandchildren and aggravate our kids. We divide our time between Florida, Illinois and other faraway places. Thanks to the reunion committee. What a great job you're doing. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
Attended Michael Reese hospital medical center school of nursing. Moved to Denver. Met David on a ranch. Eloped in 1965 and lived on ranches in Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, & California. Came back to Indiana in 1971, bought a farm, raised cattle. I worked 31 years at local hospital & retired in 2007. David became a real estate appraiser and retired in May, 2009. We`ve traveled to England, Canada and national parks. Daughter Mollie is in San Diego and we visit her and husband. Daughter Amy lives nearby. Now raise timber and hay on the farm. We work on genealogy, gardening and travel. We enjoy our retirement. This winter we`ve fed over 100 birds. Wild turkeys, deer and other wildlife come near our house. At hospital I worked as a staff nurse, house supervisor and then worked 28 years in education, co-developing patient education programs for cardiac, diabetes and ostomy teaching. Worked as a staff education coordinator for orientations, staff competencies and continuing education programs. I was a CPR trainer and coordinated advanced life support programs. |

My Life Since Senn ...: I am currently retired and living in Seattle with my wife and two adopted sons. After graduation I went on to become a pastor and spent thirteen years serving rural parishes in Arkansas and Washington. Feeling the need for more education, I went on earn a Ph.D. in Middle and Near Eastern Studies from the University of Washington. During this period I met and married Nel and we later adopted two boys from the eastern provinces of Russia. Among our memorable experiences was a short stint on an archaeological dig in Israel (Tel Dor). The last fifteen or so years of my employment life was spent in academia as the director of a college library and adjunct professor. My retirement days are filled with raising two 'wild' boys, learning the craft of screen writing and keeping abreast of Middle Eastern affairs. Hope to see you in June. |
