Rosalind Ziv

Rozzy died from Striatonigral Degeneration, a rare degenerative neurological disease, in March 2003. In the 10 years prior to her death, she gradually lost her facial expression, balance, and eventually her ability to speak and walk. Before her death, she had become a respected fine artist in the Chicago area, with pieces of her art still at the Moraine Valley Community College Gallery. She was proud to have graduated with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute in 1991. Before becoming an artist, she also had a successful career as a fashion designer of men's wear for Sears. She had three children, Susie, Christopher (who passed away in 2010) and Mandy, and three grandchildren, Haley, Sean and Matty, with two more born after her death.
