
Donald Grogan
Don died on November 29, 2012 in Sioux Falls SD at the age of 70. He was born in New York and raised in NY, St. Louis and Chicago. Don studied Business and Real Estate Law at Northwestern University and later graduated from Sargent & Lundy Power Plant Design School.
His career totaled over 30 years of CADD design and drafting in civil and structural engineering with project experience including John Wayne Airport (Santa Ana, CA), roadways, pipelines, underground mines, power plants, oil tank farms and barge dock facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, housing projects, precast structures, bridges, offshore drilling platforms and power transmission towers.
Donald was married to wife Jill for 40 years. They have a son and a daughter. the family spent over 27 years in Fullerton, California before he and Jill retired to SD. Donald relished his time on the golf course, loved sailing, was a technology enthusiast and an observant listener.
