Live and let live. The Tao that is spoken of is not the Tao Dalai Lama: My religion is kindness We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. My Life Since Senn ...:
I took classes at: Univ. of Iowa, Univ. of Illinois and San Francisco State Univ. Though I accumulated many credit hours, I did not earn a degree. I lived in California for many years before moving to Florida, where I currently reside. I have worked a variety of jobs including home health aide and delivering/monitoring meds for people with long term health issues who lived at home. I am interested in eastern philosophy and am a "Ju-Bu" or Jewish by birth but practice Buddhism. I love nature and water and practice meditation. I am grateful for my life, I am grateful that I am still alive and I am especially grateful for people I met at Senn who became dear friends, and my family, (especially Cliff) who have loved and supported me. I met people after leaving Senn who also became dear friends and helped make my life better with their love and guiding spirit. Some are departed now and as with all our Senn classmates, that saddens me. We are all part of the same web of life and cosmos. My life has been one of discovery - each day something new. Though I have led a good life, being introspective, I think about the roads not traveled. One road I would have liked to travel is that taken by Jane Goodall working with the great apes and advocating for conservation of the natural environment. I would have also spent more time on a path of love, compassion, kindness and peace. This is a path travelled by all great teachers I admire - especially Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, Martin Buber, rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel and Auntie Mame. I do hope that I will see you all at our 60th reunion. I look forward to it with pleasure. Peace and Love |

My Life Since Senn ...:
I did not attend college. I married at 21 and had 2 children - a girl, Cari Michelle, 1965; a son, Frank, 1968. My daughter has 2 children - Joey, who will be 17 this year and Michelle, who is 8 years old. My son is an actor, director, and set designer. I have always been interested in live theatre. My second job is working as an usher at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, IL. This job is definitely my passion. My daytime job is as an inside salesperson for a large manufacturer in the power transmission industry. I have worked in this job for almost 20 years. |

My Life Since Senn ...: 4 months after graduating, I met Fran and the rest has been an incredibly wonderful adventure. 3 years at Navy Pier (UIC) then U of I medical school + residency followed by cardiology fellowship at Emory. Realized that we did NOT miss Chicago winters -- spent next 30 years in Baltimore, on Univ of MD faculty. With our daughter Jennifer married to a handsome French man and living outside Paris and our son Scott living in Denver, the challenge of visiting our kids + grandkids led us to MOVE to Denver. I worked for Kaiser Colorado for next 7 years. I retired from practice and I am now on the teaching faculty of Denver St Joseph Hospital - working part time + loving it. I hope to carry on the legacy of the great teachers from whom I have learned - from Senn, Ms. Hubbard, Dr. Davidson and Mr. Powell were SPECIAL. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
I finished an undergraduate degree at Northwestern, followed by a masters in urban planning from Loyola ten years later. Meanwhile I was married and had two daughters; twenty plus years later their dad and I divorced. For the past 14 years, I’ve had a wonderful partner. He and I have traveled as for south as Antarctica , as far west as Tibet; we're now making plans to go to Africa. My career path has been a zigzag--working for the Chicago Police Department, an urban planning consultancy; legislative aide to a state senator and for the past 15 years the genteel confines of the Wilmette Public Library. My library work consists of creating a community gathering place and promoting adult learning. I put together programs ranging from concerts and theatrical readings to current events discussions and support groups. The work is very gratifying and well-supported, and I have no plans to retire any time soon. My best gig, however, is being "Grandma Bonnie" to my five grandchildren, ages 18 months through 11. No plans to retire from that either! |

Your Favorite Piece Of Wisdom: Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain. | |
My Life Since Senn ...:
I've had the best of all worlds. After college I married a wonderful man, had the typical 2.4 children (my son is tall so he counts for the extra .4) and moved to California. I planned on being a stay-at-home mom, but it turned out that that wasn't for me. It soon became clear that it was cheaper to go back to work than to pay a psychiatrist which I would have needed if I hadn't gone back to work. I've worked in several industries usually winding up as an office manager - but always in numbers related fields. Sounds boring, huh? So, after my husband passed away I retired from THAT and opened a flight school which wound up doing everything related to general aviation. A little more exciting, right? About a year ago I finally retired (for real this time) and now I seem to have less free time than I did when I was working. |
