Comment:
I am very excited to attend the event and renew old friendships and catch up with everyones lives. I cannot believe 50 years have passed. Since I moved away from Chicago in 1964, I have not been able to keep track of all the wonderful people that I met and played with at Senn HS. I have very fond memories of those years. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
After Senn I briefly attended U of I - Champaign/Urbana. I returned home and married my high school sweetheart Joel (a Sullivan Grad) . We have been together for almost 52 years, 47 as husband and wife. We have two successful children. Our son Brian, 41, is a corporate executive in the automotive industry. Our daughter Tracy, 39, is a global vice president for a major international corporation. We have two adorable granddaughters and are fortunate to have them living ten minutes from our home. They bring us much joy and happiness. Watching them grow is truly amazing. After being a stay at home Mom and Professional Volunteer for 25 years, I decided to enter the work world. I joined an environmental publishing and market research firm as a research analyst. The company deals with Air, Water and Energy. We service consulting firms, venture capitalists and government agencies all over the world. My husband and I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively as a result of his work as an industrial show producer for United Airlines. I love to play mah jong, go to the theatre and take our dog for long walks. |

My Life Since Senn ...:
Sept 1960 enrolled in Western Illinois University, Macomb Il. Majored in education (P.E.) Left in 1965, married my wife Carol, July 1965. Always teased her how lucky she was to get me, but truth be known, I was the lucky one in that union, would be lost without her, wife, B.F. mom and nana. My oldest boy, Kevin, 42, is a special needs child. He lives in Rome, Georgia about 24 miles from where I live, at Northwest Regional Hospital. He requires 24 hour nursing care, we visit him every week. He is always happy and glad to see us, his brothers and his niece's. Christopher, 41, is married with three daughters and has worked with me in different businesses for the last 15 years. Sean, 39, is also a special needs child. He is able to live with us at home and works 5 days a week at a sheltered workshop here in Cartersville. After college I worked with my father in the family business for twelve years, with a three year sabbatical when I was in business with my brother and a friend in downtown Chicago (Grand and Milwaukee). We were in the custom woodworking business, worked with interior decorators and retail customers alike. Moved to Georgia in 1976 and opened up a liquor store, owned it for 15 years. In the 34 yrs I have lived in Ga. I have also been employed in the following business ventures, some over-lapping others: beauty salon 8 yrs, wife helped run it (thank God), hamburger franchise 4 yrs., Chevron convenient store 4400 sq ft with groceries and meat, 15 years. Currently in coin amusement game business 7 years. I work about three days a week, retirement really sucks after being in retail all those years. Travel about 3 times a year, one of which is always to Chicago to see friends and family and to fill up on lox, bagels and corn-beef: secret gentile soul food! |

My Life Since Senn ...:
After graduating Senn, I went to the University of Illinois and Roosevelt University. Got married, had two children, got divorced. In 1985, married a great guy and gained two more children. We now have 5 wonderful (of course) grandchildren. I owned my own insurance broker agency, that I am slowing phasing out. I take a lot of trips to see family, and travel out of the country. When I'm here I'm involved with organization work, some political, some women's issues. I'm also busy doing art quilts and other fabric art work for my family. Life has been good. Can't wait to see everyone! |

My Life Since Senn ...:
University of Illinois (Navy Pier & Champaign) (1964). Chicago-Kent College of Law (1967) After graduation and passing the bar examination, started working the first year as a lawyer (now 53 years) doing legal research and estate planning. This quickly turned to trial work that continued for over 50 years. I actually tried my first jury case on my first day as a trial lawyer and my last jury trial in my last week as a trial lawyer. I met my wife because of my profession. We met at Studebaker's in Schaumburg (anyone remember?). and she needed legal help for a traffic ticket. Although I didn't actually do traffic work, I did for her. We were married within 2 weeks of starting to date. Now we will be celebrating 30 years together on St. Patrick's Day, 2020. I have 3 step-children and 7 grandchildren. Who would have guessed? Now that I am almost retired, my days are spent working some and spending the rest of my time with my wife. We like to watch British programming at home, regularly go to the movies and do a fair amount of traveling (my wife is a former "stewardess", not flight attendant). We see the kids and grandkids in between. Now I'm trying to keep busy and out of trouble in retirement. |
