Too young to be wise, old enough to know you can't be sure, while continuing to do what seems right.

It's more fun when you do it together.
After I left Senn I married Faith, my Senn classmate and the love of my life.
Continuing into the 60's, I served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. When I returned from the Army, I became a principal in a start up manufacturing company. During the 70's I was a Chicago Police Sergeant and spent most of my time on Chicago's turbulent west side. In my spare time, I earned my degree at Roosevelt University, thanks to the G.I. Bill. When I left the police I returned to my business. As the business grew, I made a couple of acquisitions and opened our distribution center in Europe. In the 90's Faith joined me on some of my overseas trips and, of course, she charmed all who met her. In 2008 I retired. Now I help Faith with her business interests. We also find time to enjoy boating, cycling and some golf. Naturally we spoil our grandchildren and aggravate our kids. We divide our time between Florida, Illinois and other faraway places. Thanks to the reunion committee. What a great job you're doing. |

Mrs. Levine
I am currently retired and living in Seattle with my wife and two adopted sons. After graduation I went on to become a pastor and spent thirteen years serving rural parishes in Arkansas and Washington. Feeling the need for more education, I went on earn a Ph.D. in Middle and Near Eastern Studies from the University of Washington. During this period I met and married Nel and we later adopted two boys from the eastern provinces of Russia. Among our memorable experiences was a short stint on an archaeological dig in Israel (Tel Dor). The last fifteen or so years of my employment life was spent in academia as the director of a college library and adjunct professor. My retirement days are filled with raising two 'wild' boys, learning the craft of screen writing and keeping abreast of Middle Eastern affairs. Hope to see you in June.

If you want to make God laugh, tell him you have your life planned.
I attended Illinois Wesleyan University and earned a degree in Elementary Education, mostly because I couldn't figure out what else to major in once I decided I wasn't cut out to be a nurse, which had been my childhood ambition. As it turned out, I married the summer I graduated and didn't go to work until my youngest child was in school. By then, I knew that I wanted to go back to school and take business and accounting classes, which is what I did. I was in accounting for 20 years or so and loved it. But in 1996, I decided to change paths entirely and started my own landscape design business, which I have been happily pursuing for 14 years.
I am divorced once, remmarried once, have 3 children, 1 granddaughter; my husband Terry has 4 children and 1 grandson. I have lived in St. Charles, Illinois since 1972. Terry and I enjoy being active in this lovely community, spending time with our children and grandchildren and wishing we could retire to a lake somewhere. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the reunion because I will be in Portland, Oregon, visiting one of my daughters and attending a college sorority reunion. Have fun! |

You must be Lucky in Life!
After graduating Law School in 1968 I decided I would try the pursuit of Real Estate Development. I acquired property in a very seedy part of Chicago west of Michigan Avenue near Dearborn and Erie. The buildings were occupied by artist and various industrial users. My goal was to convert the properties from an industrial to an office use. One day a meeting was held by the various owners and occupants of the area to give a name or designation to our little community. We could not arrive at the right name so we decided to give the naming assignment to a local grade school. The area thrived and became quite successful. By the way, the winner of the contest was a second grade student and came up with the name RIVER NORTH.
