Edwin received a BA from Roosevelt University. After graduation he spent 6 years in the reserves earning the rank of sergeant. Edwin worked as a tariff manager.

Ardith Reisenfeld

Ardith Reisenfeld

Arde died in November, 2021 at the age of 79. She was married for 55 years to late husband, Marv. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Arde was a member of the reunion committee that organized the Senn class of 1960 50th and 55th reunions. Arde and Marv ran a business in Glenview until they retired. They spent their last years living in California. Arde was known for her sense of humor, her enthusiasm for having fun, her devotion to her children and multitude of friends - and for her love of mahjong.

Allan Repkin

Allan Repkin

Allan received a B.S. Degree in 1964 from Roosevelt University, a Masters Degree from Emory University in 1969 specializing in Pharmacology/Physiology, and a PhD. from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1973. Allan married Renee in 1964, they have two sons, Michael and Jason. Allan continued on at the University of Illinois doing postgraduate work until his untimely death in December, 1977 at age 34 from complications of diabetes.

Sharon Romen

Sharon died on or about June 20th, 2014. She and husband Joel were married for over 50 years. Sharon has a son, a daughter and two granddaughters. After 25 years doing volunteer work, she became a research analyst. She and Joel traveled extensively thanks to his job at United Airlines. Sharon loved playing Mahjong and taking her dog for walks. She attended our 50th class reunion.

Diane passed away in October, 2018 about a month before her 76th birthday. She had been married to David (a lawyer who died in 2010) for 47 years. They have a son Micah and two grandchildren.

Rene Ruben

Rene Ruben

Rene died on November 28, 2019 after a 7 year battle with lung cancer. Rene and her late husband, Robert, were married for almost 50 years. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. After graduating from the U of I (where she met and married Bob) they moved to Tampa FL. Rene founded and ran The Clay Factory, a regional supplier of pottery materials for institutions and a school for potters and artists. Later in life Rene founded the Lifelong Learning Society at Florida Atlantic University. Over the following nineteen years, Rene grew the program into the largest Lifelong Learning Society in the United States.

Loren died in March, 2016 at age 74. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and son Brian. He was a lawyer, teacher and founder of his own company. He loved to be with his family, travel, learn new things and make investments.

Bonnie Shapiro

Bonnie Shapiro

Bonnie died in April, 2025 at the age of 82. She had two daughters and 5 grandchildren. Bonnie was an avid reader and gardener, was devoted to the performing arts and had a special love for classical music. She was a graduate of Northwestern University and has a masters in urban planning from Loyola. She was divorced but living with a wonderful partner.  They traveled as for south as Antarctica , as far west as Tibet; and also to Africa.

Her career path included working for the Chicago Police Department, an urban planning consultancy; legislative aide to a state senator and the Wilmette Public Library.

Morton Skorodin

Dr. Morton Skorodin passed away on Feb. 17, 2011 in Tulsa, OK. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; his sons Nathan and Ian Skorodin; and grandchildren Zoe and Ethan Skorodin. A compassionate physician, prolific researcher, global and community activist and man of great spirit and intelligence.

Frank Stover

Frank (also known as Jay) died in Chicago on January 9, 2017 at age 74. Jay is survived by his brother - his wife having died several years earlier. Jay was in real estate and formerly was associated with the Joffrey Ballet. He was active in the art world and loved music, especially Gospel, theater, and dance. He was a raconteur and wit and kept people in stitches with his very funny stories. He also was an excellent writer.

Marion died in March 2025 at the age of 82.  After Senn she attended Pestalozzi-Froebel Teachers College. She married fellow Senn classmate Jay Peebles.  They moved to Oregon and had two sons and a daughter together.  After a divorce she married Sonny and become stepmother to his 3 sons and a daughter. She had 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren from her children and stepchildren. 

 

Her career included being a dental assistant/hygienist. She then worked at Lewis & Clark College and Ronald McDonald House Charities, she brought warmth and dedication to every endeavor. She also was an active participant in husband Sonny's career as a coach...

Gail Urkov

Gail died in March of 2023 at the age of 80. She has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. She liked walks down Devon Avenue, going for hot dogs at Little Louies or fries and a coke at Kofields and then for Carmel Corn next door. Gail liked hanging out at Harrys prior to starting her school day. After Senn she attended college. Gail and Arde Reisenfeld went on a trip to Israel - the most exciting trip of her life! She worked as a therapist for several years. Gail and classmate Donna Glaser remained best friends since Senn.

Gary, Dr. V, lived in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area with wife Sally, sons Aaron & Jason and daughter Rachel. Gary and Sally were married 39 years and have 6 grandchildren. Gary practiced medicine as an allergist till his death in March, 2005. His career includes attending Roosevelt Univ, the U of I medical school, interning at Cook County and Michael Reese hospitals and a fellowship at Mayo as an internist and immunologist. Gary loved being able to help his patients live better lives.

Marc died in 2008 at the age of 65. He is survived by wife Suzanne and son David. After Senn, Marc graduated from Roosevelt University with a degree in business and marketing. He worked for Leo Burnett & Assoc. until 1976 when he moved to California. Marc was a director of marketing for Apple Computer and for MicroPro Intl before starting his own marketing consultation firm. He was active in his religion and was a founding member of Temple Chai in Long Grove.

Robert Wolf

Bobby attended Northwestern University on a full scholarship and, as if he didn`t have enough to do, leaped into the entertainment industry, singing and dancing his way into musicals such as Bye Bye Birdie and Leave It To Jane (DelPrado and Erlanger Hotels), Hits of Broadway (Edgewater Beach Hotel), the Melody Top Summer Theater (Milwaukee), and of course Northwestern`s yearly Waa-Mu Show. At Northwestern Law School he wrote for the Law Review and was approached personally by Governor Dewey of New York to work for the law firm of Dewey & Ballantine after graduation, which he accepted. Robert (no longer Bobby, or even Bob) was one of the prime movers of the divestiture of AT&T, and survived...
