Henry Ecker
Henry (Hank) Ecker attended our 50th reunion in June, 2010. See his profile in the Classmate Profile section of this website. Hanks life ended in Scottsdale, AZ on Thursday, April 7, 2011. At the time of his death, after a long illness, he was married to Sharlan. Hank had 7 children and 15 grandchildren.

Faith Fishbein
Faith married fellow classmate Peter Nielsen soon after graduation. They have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. After graduating college Faith taught inner city children. She also taught in the southern suburbs before moving to Florida. Faith and Peter did a lot of travel and saw much of the world. Faith was a founding mother of Northwest Community Academy in Chicago. She and her daughter formed their own high end children's boutique business. Faith died on December 3, 2014.

June Fomon
June died in September, 2018 at age 76. She is survived by her twin sister and fellow Senn graduate, Judith, and her two children and three grandchildren.

Diane Foreman
Diane died at the age of 79 in October of 2022 from lung cancer. She was married to Michael for 54 years. They have 2 sons and 1 daughter. Diane has 5 grandchildren.
Diane graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in mathematics and then a Master's of Actuarial Science, the only female in the program that year. Diane's career included working as an actuary, a software tester, tutor, and high school and college-level teacher of mathematics. She was also an excellent cook, graciously offering to bring meals and comfort foods to friends and family for celebrations and in times of need.

Barbara Gilbert
Barbara died in November of 2020 at age 77. She died while receiving treatment for Hodgkins lymphoma. After Senn she attended Syracuse University studying journalism and political science. She had a 50 year career in journalism, primarily for publications in the floral trade. Her favorite activities included travel, musical theater, bridge, reading and rooting for her beloved Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Barry Goldberg
Barry died in January of 2025 at the age of 83. He was survived by his wife, Gail and his son. Barry was a Chicago-born bluesman and keyboard master celebrated for backing Bob Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival, founding the Electric Flag in partnership with Mike Bloomfield, and for his session work with Muddy Waters, Mitch Ryder, Otis Rush, Leonard Cohen, Ramones and Howlin’ Wolf. He died following a 10-year battle with non-Hodgkin.

Iris Goldberg
Iris died on New Year`s eve 2001 after a 17 year illness (a rare form of MS). She has three children and 5 granddaughters. Iris worked for Realty Corp of America doing collections before she became a mother. She enjoyed playing mahjong and traveling with her husband. They traveled in Asia and Europe as well as in the USA. Iris did volunteer work for Tay-Sachs disease.

Larry died on July 17th, 2014 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline of 47 years, their 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Ronald Greenberg
Ron attended Lincoln College and Chicago State College, receiving AA, BE and MSE degrees. He taught auto mechanics at Senn and also raised Tennessee walking horses. Ron has a son and a daughter.

Donald Grogan
Don died on November 29, 2012 in Sioux Falls SD at the age of 70. He was born in New York and raised in NY, St. Louis and Chicago. Don studied Business and Real Estate Law at Northwestern University and later graduated from Sargent & Lundy Power Plant Design School.
His career totaled over 30 years of CADD design and drafting in civil and structural engineering with project experience including John Wayne Airport (Santa Ana, CA), roadways, pipelines, underground mines, power plants, oil tank farms and barge dock facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, housing projects, precast structures, bridges, offshore drilling platforms and power transmission towers.

John Hagedorn
John died on August 20th, 2014. He has 2 daughters with ex-wife Jackie. John was a father, grandfather, dear friend, and bowler extraordinaire. Former teacher (inner city, third grade), entrepreneur (owner of five pharmacies), and server of people in need. John lived life on his own terms.

Gloria Harlib
Gloria died on April,1 2019. She had been married to a Sullivan alumni until his death 2 years before her. They have a son, a daughter and 4 grandchildren. They lived in Illinois until 1973 when they moved to California. They were there for over 20 years, then moved to Arizona (after an earthquake) for 20 years before returning to California to be near their family. During her younger years Gloria was a model for Sears as well as many other catalog companies.

Shayna died in November, 2021 at the age of 79. She was married for over 40 years to her late husband, Jerry. They had 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Sharon Herstein
Sharon died in August of 2024 at the age of 82 in Newport Beach California. She married Ron Glickman and his three sons in 1989 and was devoted to her family. Sharon and her late husband, Ron, moved to Newport Beach, CA when Ron was offered a position there. They loved their life in CA. She had 3 sons and 8 grandchildren. Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Sandra Holt
Sandi died in February, 2020 at age 77. She is survived by her daughter, Tallulah. Sandi worked in the film industry. She appeared in several Second City productions and worked as a movie voice actor providing background voices for movie soundtracks and as a voice coach for movie and TV actors.

Hara Isaacson
Hara died in November of 2020. Her health had deteriorated significantly prior to her death. Hara and her husband, Michele, spent the last 20 years as owners/operators of the Les Airelles B & B in Leysin, Switzerland (about 25 miles NW of Zermatt). Despite the distance, Hara attended both the 50th and 55th Senn Reunions.

Donald died at the end of May, 2025. He was 82 years old. Don is survived by 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. He attended Clinton elementary school.

Hyma Jacobs
Hyma died in July, 2022 at the age of 80. She had 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. Hyma gave of herself freely to others and helped to enrich Jewish traditions. Hyma was the Director of Education at Beth Emet The Free Synagogue in Evanston, Illinois, for many years. She had a beautiful voice and sang in various choirs. She visited Israel on numerous occasions and looked forward to more travel. Hyma served as president of her retirement community Residents Council. She lent her unique personality and passion to bringing more Jewish experiences to other residents including singing and Shabbat services, Seder dinners, and teaching monthly classes about historical Jewish themes. Sybil Janofsky
Sybil died at the end of August, 2022 from renal failure and dementia at the age of 79. She was married for 56 years to Ed and has 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. Sybil attended Roosevelt University on a full academic scholarship in elementary education. She was a teacher in the East Maine school district and was also a fabulous cook and gardener. Sybil was an avid reader especially of mysteries. She also enjoyed plays, concerts, PBS television, Rogers & Hammerstein and MGM movie musicals, as well as jazz/swing/big band singers. In her free time She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and was active in the sisterhood of her Congregation.

Jordan Kempler
Jordan (Dr. Kempler) practiced dentistry in Park Ridge. He died in 1999 at the age of 57. he is survived by his wife, Sharon, and three sons.

Adrienne Kirschner
Adrienne passed away in October 2024 at the age of 81. After Senn she attended the U of I at Champaign and Roosevelt University. Adrienne worked for Playboy. She also did public relations work and sold real estate. For 22 years she worked at the Merchandise Mart selling spaces for trade shows - especially major fashion shows. She was married for 10 years and in a committed relationship for many more. She loved to attend charity events, was a talented painter and was writing a book. Adrienne, a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan, also loved music. She enjoyed volunteering and living downtown.

Karlynne Klein
Karlynne died in May of 2023 in Florida. After Senn she attended Roosevelt University for a year. Then she returned to her first love: dancing. After working in musicals in Chicago, she moved to NYC and worked for theatrical attorneys and an agent. She got to meet some showbiz people along the way. Then back to Chicago and toured with a magician, singer and dancers. She learned how some magic illusions work - but would not tell. She met her future husband at a wedding.
