
Chris Barkulis
Chris Peter Barkulis, 45, a commodities broker, food distributor, bouncer at a nightclub and former minor league baseball star (played third base for a Cubs farm team in California), died in 1987 from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. He left behind a daughter. Chris had been a commodities broker at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange since 1975. He also was a founder and partner of Barkulis Bros. Inc., the Midwest distributers of Haagen-Dazs and Dove Bar ice cream. The company was founded by Chris and his brothers.
